Life Extension Project

Longitudinal study of healthy aging, repair, and late-life function.

The Life Extension Project studies the conditions that support function in later life.

Scope of the program

Longer life is useful only when health and independence can be maintained. The project supports research in cellular repair, age-related disease, and the interpretation of long-running cohorts.

Current record

Current work follows changes in function over time and reviews how older cohort data can be used responsibly. Some early datasets predate current consent and cataloging conventions.
